What Happens Next?

Allentown, Not Helsinki
Allentown, Not Helsinki

How often do we spend time taking a moment looking ahead?

Not talking about mid-morning, trying to decide where to go for lunch and with whom, even though that can qualify as an important decision.

Rather, looking ahead ten years.

What?

It’s hard isn’t it? That’s why we rarely, if ever, give it considerable thought.

Considerable thought.

Substantial thought.

The long and hard discussion with ourselves about our future.

It’s like reaching the top of Maslow’s pyramid.

I’ll be spending several precious days with a couple of 80-somethings. Wonder what we’ll talk about.

You May Already Be There

Ordinary Life Is Gold
Ordinary Life Is Gold

“Know where you’re going in life, you may already be there.”

Do you ever find yourself in a quiet moment, wondering where you’re headed, and wondering how long it will take to get there?

And maybe, if your dream lasts long enough, you find yourself at your destination, astonished.  “How did I get here?  This isn’t what I wanted?”

We may have already arrived at our best place.  Good health, only a few bills, a steady paycheck. Ample friends. Reliable things.

And yet, in midlife, if we aren’t careful, we might completely miss our exit.

Wisdom Confidence Courage Joy

A Word Is Worth A Thousand Pictures

Do you have words that fill you with Joy?  Words that inspire you? Words that instantly create positive images in your mind?

Four favorites are in the Mid Life Celebration blog post title here – wisdom, confidence, courage, joy.

Do those do anything for you?  How about these:

  • Faith, Hope, Love
  • Peace, Harmony, Balance
  • Creativity, Innovation, Change
  • Laughter, Humor, Bliss
  • Hunger, Desire, Passion
  • Determination, Tenacity
  • Vision, Mission, Brand
  • Social Media, Blogs, Facebook
  • Mind, Body, Spirit, Money

Words. So many good ones. So much meaning.

Mid Life Crisis and Mid Life Celebration. Ya with me?

Selling Hope Inspiration

What brings people Joy?  And why do people try to bring joy to others? Also, what is it about joy that makes us feel good, whether we give joy or receive joy?

It really doesn’t matter does it?

I mean, giving, or receiving, joy always makes us feel good. I love that about joy. Who doesn’t, right?

Yesterday you heard that Mid Life Celebration isn’t selling anything that costs money, and that Mid Life Celebration is one of five daily blogs written by jeff noel (hello), from Orlando, Florida.

Please, make no mistake, eventually there will be an effort to make money – a lot of money – to give away to people.

And also, please make no mistake, Mid Life Celebration is dedicated to making the world a better place, never resting in an effort to sell hope and inspiration.

Five-A-Day Bloggers

Five-a-day bloggers.  How many are there?

So I Googled five-a-day bloggers and got 367,000,000 search results, but nothing on the first page described anyone who actually writes five daily blogs.

Okay, no problem, let’s narrow the search, so I typed – “five-a-day bloggers” – using quotation marks to focus the search.

Click here to see the result.

When was the last time you Googled anything and got only one result?

If you are new to Mid Life Celebration, welcome.  Hope you find this (and the other four daily blogs) a refreshing visit in a cyber-world that is overcrowded with people trying to sell us stuff.

None of the five-a-day blogs I write are selling anything.  Maybe hope and inspiration. But nothing that costs money.
