Social Media and Mid Life Business Blogging?

Mid Life Business Blogging and Social Media?

Social Media is so exciting to me.

Why?

Because of it’s limitless potential.

Here’s an article, Five Social Media Rules of Engagement , with a few common sense, social media guidelines.  There are plenty of other social media and social networking articles at this site www.ploked.com  .

I’m going to add a PAGE in the right column for links to other social media and social marketing articles I find.

I already have a list started on another blog PAGE, entitled Better Business Blogging 101 .

While originally targeted to Baby Boomers and Gen X-ers, it’s usefulness and relevance may work for many others.

There’s never been a better time to be going through a mid-life crisis or mid life celebration than 2009.

Check Your Mid-Life User Name?

Hey Mid-Lifer’s, Check Your User Name is a website that can help you see where you sit in the digital marketplace.

Using LinkedIn has been a great eye-opener to what various businesses and professionals are doing to leverage the Internet and Social Marketing, SEO, and Social Media.

I’m a Mid-Life magnet for great insights, best practices, and results.

If you where ever to think of yourself as a magnet, what would you attract?

Mid Life Thursday?

Mid Life Thursday?  Seems like it surely must be so.

Here’s a good one:

“How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and the strong.  Because someday in life, you will have been all of these”.  — George Washington Carver

It finally hit many years ago that this is absolutely true.  It’s very hard to imagine, even absurd, that I didn’t have a clue about this reality, for most of my life.

Just another reason why I love this Mid Life Celebration so much.

Only 25 days until I celebrate 50 years on our planet.  Carpe diem, jeff noel  🙂

Mid Life Tuesday?

Mid Life Tuesday?  Seems so.

Here’s a thought to get us going:

“The greatness of a nation and it’s moral progress can be judged by the way it’s animals are treated”.  — Ghandi

My goal in life is to become the kind of person my Dog thinks I am.  For real!

So, it’s an incredible wake up call everyday, when I’m filled with choices, to try and find the courage, strength and especially wisdom, to know what to do and when to do it.

I hope I can make my Dog even prouder than he already is.

Make it a GREAT midlife Tuesday, because if you don’t, who will?  If not today, when?  Carpe diem, jeff 🙂

PS.  Nice entry today at Lane 8.org

Mid Life Monday?

Mid Life Monday?   Seems so.

And here’s a thought:

“As I grow older, I pay less attention to what men say.  I just watch what they do”. – Andrew Carnegie

This is why so many people, myself included, struggle in life.  Our intentions and our behaviors are two different things.  This sends the wrong, and unintentional, message to others.

Not until we become aware of this, admit to it, and then resolve to change, can we lead a better, more fulfilling life.

A life with more peace and contentment.

At least that’s my intent.
