Midlife Celebration is on Amazon and Kindle

Midlife Celebration is on Amazon and Kindle

(photo: Shipped 16 copies yesterday… a buy one, get three free website offer… a deal Amazon doesn’t offer.)

Midlife Celebration is on Amazon and Kindle and no one cares. Only authors know the reality – being published as one of the ten-million-plus books on Amazon means nothing – to anyone – except maybe your parents.

Marketing is the key to scaling the wall of popularity, of importance. Well, that and having a compelling message.

Anything more compelling than not being afraid of death?

PS. It takes a life long time to become an overnight success.

What is Disney’s best kept secret?

Disney's Best Leadership Consultants

(photo: Spent a few hours yesterday reworking www.jeffnoel.com and changing all social media avatars with the photo above – taken a month or so ago)

What is Disney’s best kept secret? Disney Vacation Club had it as a tagline for many years.

In the world of positive organizational culture attitude, Disney’s best kept secret is an Orlando based Motivational speaker and 30-year Disney veteran. The fact he can confidently make this claim is a testament to the power of our mental thoughts.

He’s out on his own, speaking and enlightening business leaders in the world’s most respected companies. He did it for 15 years at Disney Institute, and he’s still doing it, here.

PS. (This post was written 100 days ago, shortly after retiring. Reading it now, Feb 28, it feels awkward. Leaving it as is. It captures the vibe of that day, right or wrong, appropriate or inappropriate.)

Vemödalen: The Fear That Everything Has Already Been Done

Art is simply caring more about what you do than the others who also do what you do.

Parenting, teaching, healing, farming, constructing, baking, volunteering, cleaning, driving, you name it.

The secret to caring more is having a clear, concise, and compelling reason that drives you.

Knowing what drives you is the secret to art being driven.

Blurry midlife celebration moments like a Disney retirement party

Orlando's Best Keynote Speaker jeff noel

(photo: Last night at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort… jeff noel, Lori and Joe McColgan)

His colleagues from the past 30 years had a couple recurring themes in their stories and memories:

  • Optimism
  • Positivity
  • Creativity
  • Courage
  • Encouragement
  • Fun

Last night was the final, official moment as a Disney Cast Member.

It kills him to leave. He IS Disney. He’s not running from something. He’s running to something, and has been for the past six years.

The other theme, shared over and over last night with his wife? Because of his intentionality he’s going to be incredible successful.

No one teaches us to fight back anymore

America's Balance Experts

(photo: In 30 years, no role model appeared for balance… everyone works so hard and is so dedicated.)

This afternoon is the traditional Walt Disney World retirement party for a 30-year Cast Member. Looking forward to seeing if balance is a central theme in how people recall their time together.

The complete lack of balance in our lives is suffocating. But like living in high altitudes, we gradually get used to the thin air.

And while the view is stunning, the living conditions are harsh.

All the things that make life easier and more fulfilling are down near sea level. Closer to a warm, breezy, sandy, sun-soaked, palm-tree lined beach.

Balance.

Fight back.

Get some.

Get it all.

Everything you deserve.

And remember to stay hydrated, stay in the shade or wear sunscreen.
