Disney Institute Leadership Keynote Speakers

Disney Innovation Keynote Speakers
Two weeks ago in Chile.

There are four world-class basics that make up the Disney Leadership architecture.

i have been teaching our Son (now 18) these Disney blueprints for at least a dozen years.

We are both more positive human beings because of this student-teacher-student relationship.

Everything i learned, did, and taught from 32 years as an insider and two-time Walt Disney Lifetime Achievement recipient has been synthesized into brilliantly simplistic DNA.

No one i know has deconstructed Disney’s operational DNA and reconstructed it in such a useful way.

It brings great joy and personal satisfaction to offer such a unique professional development opportunity to the world.

Another option are Disney Institute Keynote Speakers who are my friends and former colleagues and they share corporately-approved speeches, and i highly recommend them to help organizations in need.

We enjoy bringing The Disney Way to willing audiences.

You either run your habits or they run you

Walt Disney death announcement
Smoking is so addictive. Addiction is a habit that is hard to change. Is being disorganized an addiction? i have no idea. i do think, however, that we can be addicted to things that make being organized impossible.

Being able to do something well with relative ease is great when you do it.

If you know how to do something but struggle, for whatever reason, to do it consistently without being reminded, then you have an opportunity to develop more effective and efficient personal structure and processes for getting those things done.

Habits and rituals.

Personal responsibility.

Initiative.

Whether it’s the daily doing of your work, doing home chores, staying well physically and spiritually, or simply managing your home environment, the results you reap stem from the structure and processes you implement.

Back to, you guessed it, habits and rituals.

Reacting when reminded, or, initiating action without having to be reminded.

Both approaches are the result of habits and rituals.

The easiness and simplicity of the present moment

Disney Keynote Speakers
Last night’s trip to Disney’s Magic Kingdom to shoot a short client video for social media.

The easiness and simplicity of the present moment is lost because we are constantly thinking about so many things.

It’s challenging to simply be focused on the present moment without a dwelling on something that’s already happened, or a preoccupation with something that might or will happen in the future.

Case in point, as i type this, i’m preoccupied with two clients with high, yet unrealistic, expectations. These clients want amazing results and the miracle of getting those results with a magic formula that circumvents a slow and steady uphill climb.

All motivation becomes self-motivation

All motivation becomes self-motivation.

As an adolescent and young adult, basically until we move out on our own, we can be “force motivated” by parents, teachers, peer pressure, and media.

Eventually we learn that motivation from others isn’t powerful anymore because we’ve reached an age and belief that we can make our own choices.

We can do whatever we please.

Staying highly motivated over our lifetime is work.

Our work ethic drives the depth and effectiveness of our habits – and vice versa.

Habits control our behaviors.

Our habits (hence our behaviors) are birthed and strengthened by our motivation.

And everything we receive in life is affected by our habits.

Habits that do one of two things:

  1. help us grow strong and thrive
  2. don’t help our growth and accelerate our decline

An underrated habit is continuously choosing to have habits that are by design rather than by default – or vice versa.

This underrated habit forges your destiny.

We age but we do not need to feel old

sunrise at the beach
After 59 years, this never gets old.

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.
