Is it possible to finally, for good, let go of habitual, societal posturing?
While working in a career it feels necessary. Mandatory even.
Why?
Societal norm.
But i’m not working (going on five months now) and i see things that no longer matter to me. Things that used to matter all day, every day.
Social media for one, especially LinkedIn.
Trying to keep up with the Jones. And FOMO.
But five months since my second and final retirement i just have no need to keep up. Nothing to prove.
Letting go of posturing is exhilarating.
Why?
If you need me to explain, you’re not ready to comprehend the explanation.
(and if you already know, again, you don’t need me to explain) (ps. Congrats)
Why?
Once you reach the life-stage where constant posturing is a non-issue, you immediately experience a relief you’ve never known.
We all dream of this relief, this freedom, but until it happened i was clueless.
