Ask Yourself

What would you pay to have “balance'” or overall wellness as some call it?

Be honest, your life is fairly out of control if you inventory your life and ask these questions:

Am I as healthy as I know I’d like to be?

Am I as focused on my relationships and helping others as I’d like to be?

Does my boss adore me? What about the people that work with me?

Is my attitude as open, creative, and positive as I’d like it to be?

Do I spend less than I earn?

If tomorrow never comes, will she know how much I loved her?

A Balanced Birthday?

HQ: Life's Day To Day Administration
HQ: Life's Day To Day Administration

Thursday was our Son’s 10th birthday.

Normally, Cheryl organizes all the presents.

Being on vacation this week with the new puppy, I had time to put some thought into his gift bag, and he received a balanced set of presents.

  • Mind: Book
  • Body: Vitamins
  • Spirit: Letters To God (dvd)
  • Money: Cash
  • HQ: Phone

Call it crazy, or brilliant, or weird, it doesn’t matter.

You know what matters?

No seriously, do you know what matters?

Because in the end, it comes down to what we do before we die.

How Much Is Enough?

What Does Balance Mean To You?
What Does Balance Mean To You?

How much is enough?

Was speaking with my Banker friend yesterday.

As he was listening to the vision of Mid Life Celebration, you could see and feel his interest in it’s long-term dream.

The Mid Life Celebration dream is so far out there, it seems impossible.

And yet, at it’s very core, it’s so ridiculously simple and painfully obvious.

It’s the solution to life.

The Banker reminded me that “wealth” in one area doesn’t mean overall wealth, doesn’t mean balanced wealth.

And without balanced wealth, what do you think you get out of life?

At What Cost?

Life Changing Transformational Changes
Life Changing Transformational Changes

At what cost will we agree to make significant change?

This question is based on the painfully obvious assumption that most adults are searching for meaning in at least one, if not all, of these big life choices:

  • Mental Clarity
  • Physical Wellness
  • Spiritual Peace
  • Financial Security

What makes this nearly impossible for well-intentioned adults is how overwhelming it feels to begin making life changing transformational changes.

Because of this, most give up, even though they never admit it.

Mid Life Updates

Rethink, Reprioritize, Recommit
Rethink, Reprioritize, Recommit

Happy Monday everyone.  Hope you had a great weekend. I actually worked Saturday at my “real job” – yes, I’m a career employee at a large company.

This whole five daily blogs thing is like a hobby, like growing a garden or something. And as any avid gardener will tell you, “It’s a labor of love.”

Quite literally, a labor of love – for a child.

Anyway, back to the updates:

1.  Erika Liodice’s Mid Life Celebration Guest Blogger post yesterday was a first here. Please check out her site, Beyond The Gray, if you want a midlife perspective from a not yet 30-year old.  Erika gave me “my first big break” as a Guest Blogger.

2.  The numbers thing the other day. (gulp) Well, that was sort of like a time capsule to look back on later.

3.  February is about Peace. Peace to me means –  tranquility, balance, solace, contentment, harmony, simplicity, acceptance.
