The difference in attitude is crystal clear

The difference in attitude is crystal clear. Imagine yesterday’s call with the CEO. He’s listening to the executive business consultant and determining if it’s a right fit.

It will cost the CEO a lot of money and what’s on the line is his corporate culture – the way his people interact with his cherished customers, and each other.

When the voice coming through the receiver is insanely positive, optimistic, and confident it’s almost too easy.

And the world class business consultant? He’s listening for the same things.

In a perfect world

Group photographer

(photo: Group photo of college buddies and their wives reuniting 30+ years later, on a North Carolina mountain top home of one of the guys.)

In a perfect world, everyone would be happy.

Impossible?

We are in charge of how we view the world.

Many insist you can’t be happy all the time.

Hmmm.

Can we be grateful all the time?

The answer depends on our attitude.

Nothing more, nothing less.

It all comes down to attitude.

And guess what drives our attitude?

Gratitude.

It’s not rocket surgery.

But it does require tremendous focus and discipline.

Which also comes down to attitude.

What is it about this attitude that stiffens our spine?

Calling Fidelity Investments

What is it about a particular attitude attribute that stiffens our spine?

Our minds can think of a great diversity of answers, yet there’s one answer, upon hearing it, we all nod, smile, and say, totally.

It’s when someone we know does what they say they’re gonna do, especially the big things that take years (maybe decades) to do and their progress is so slow and unremarkable, we never notice.

We never notice that is, until the day comes when they are done.

Then’s it’s, holy crap, she climbed that mountain.

Attitude is everything, blah, blah, blah…

Conversations are endless. And everywhere. Short ones. Long ones. Happy ones. Not-so-happy ones.

Dad: Son, it’s not what happens to you, it’s how you respond to what happens to you. Bad things happen to everyone, and for their entire life.

Son: Silent, but obviously his mind is working overtime.

Dad: We are in control of our attitude and we create the habits that either favor us or don’t.

Bottom line, another in a long list of deposits into the mind of a future adult.

Today’s mental thought continues with a physical thought for the day at the Next Blog

Attitude determines many things, including our priorities and courage

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Testing for January 10… but it’s only October 2. The next 100 days should be incredibly exciting… When Apple’s new iOS, Yosemite, debuts soon, the Cloud may allow the bottom image to size the same as the one above.

The photo above was added the normal way from a MacBook. The photo below was added from the iPhone 6 Plus.

Purchased the iPhone 6 Plus yesterday to test the limits of mobile devices. This is on top of the iPhone 6 purchased two weeks ago.

Our attitude and courage to push our entrepreneurial spirit is nurtured, directed, and course-corrected by the person in charge of our life.

The way to get started is to quit taking and start doing. -Walt Disney

The photo below is much larger than the one above. The experiment worked. The photos are the same size on the iPhone 6. (just checked it, Jan 10, 2015)
