One day it will, mind

Examining A Disney World Parade
Can remember most of this day like it was yesterday.

One day it will.

Will what?

One day will come.

And it reminds me of a Garth Brooks song…

If Tomorrow Never Comes.

Chapin, on this day, April 11, 2026, if tomorrow never comes, you absolutely need to know this…

i could never be more proud to be your father.

You are extraordinary.

i am more proud of who you are, how you think, and what you’ll become than anything else i’ve witnessed in 67 years.

Note: These posts will publish June 11, 2026.

Let’s make “SYDK” a category, mind

mountain road tunnel tinged in snow

Blog categories act kinda like book chapter titles.

They help me file together ‘themed’ thoughts. And the thoughts become blog posts.

Sometimes it’s a bullseye fit. Sometimes it’s a loose fit.

In prolific daily blogging, i scan the blog categories and label the post based on what seems a best fit, not necessarily a bullseye fit.

Noteworthy is that each of the five daily blogs have some similar categories, but most are different. So this step is repeated five times daily.

Initially, yesterday’s blog titles were labeled and themed “Shit You Don’t Know” (SYDK).

Today in blog-writing prep, i thought i’d make “Shit you didn’t know” a brand new category.

It took only minutes until i realized the blog category already exists…

It’s called, “Dear Son”.

Dear Son,

Shit you didn’t know…

How could you?

You were just a kid.

What you didn’t know is…

How being your dad inspired and guided everything i did (and why i did it) at Disney Institute.

How to live vibrantly.

Leaving a trail for our son is my purpose.

A life guide.

Which Dad do you want?

disney keynote speaker Jeff Noel on a roof
Up on the roof a few days ago.

Which Dad do you want?

Or, do you need a grandfather?

Some starter options (copied from a Rob Hatch email):

Would you like me to share my thoughts, or do you need me to listen?

Is this something you want my advice on, or do you need to talk it through?

Would it be helpful if I asked you some clarifying questions, or would you prefer to explain the situation first?
