See what you want to see from this post

Ocoee High School
Yesterday morning at 9am. Low turnout is obvious. This is a mind-bender: The only people who know, know from being there to see it. We stumbled upon this relatively obscure opportunity.

pressure washing driveway
Yesterday afternoon at 3pm. Without the contrast of pressure washing, the drive didn’t appear dirty.

As a general rule, humans will not see what they don’t expect to see.

A group of radiologists examined X-rays that had a gorilla image 48x larger than the cancer cells they were looking for.

They didn’t see the “massive” gorilla under the microscope..

Why would they, gorillas are never there.

We simply don’t see things that don’t fit the pattern we’re expecting.

Same with our attitude.

See what you want to see from this post.

What may be hidden in plain sight is obvious.

You are in charge of what you see in the world.

Permission to try anything and everything

risk takers
Seth Godin made this. Outliers, misfits, crazy-people to the left. Risk-adverse, conformists to the right.

Doing routine, mindless administrative stuff (stuffing envelopes for a classroom activity) at work yesterday, a thought…

i’m no longer working to make a living, i’m working to make a difference.

This changes, and refines, my attitude about selling.

She who can walk away always has the edge.

Who doesn’t enjoy having an edge?

i am sitting on a current situation where two big opportunities are in front of me.

Both situations have CEOs who are struggling with the price.

No worries.

i can’t force someone to see value instead of expense.

And if it’s too risky for them, it’s not too risky for me – to thank them for their time, wish them well, and then walk away.

Entrepreneurs have no guarantees anything they do will work.

And they have their own permission to try anything and everything.

So cool.

Who’s the most important member of your mental fitness team?

Epcot parking lot marker
Yesterday…lunch at Epcot. Epcot’s brand is Discovery. Magic Kingdom’s is Fantasy.

Who’s the most important member of your mental fitness team?

You are.

Who else can get regular exercise, adequate rest, balanced nutrition for you?

Who else can determine your core spiritual beliefs, and your level of conviction and participation?

Who else can determine your work ethic, career goals, risk tolerance, commitment to excellence and resilience?

Who else can organize your home-life processes and structure for “the paperwork of life”?

Go.

Be well.

The 4th Sunday of Lent should go in the jeffnoel.org blog today

percentages
What percentage of our attitude is impacted by our spiritual foundation?

The karma for the 4th Sunday of Lent (today) should go in the jeffnoel.org blog today.

Why?

Because the way we think about Lent (or whatever spiritual core belief we have) is the way we think about everything.

Of course, there are the anomalies and exceptions, but they are rare.

Great mental attitude will bleed into a great spiritual centeredness.
