Mid Life Crisis?

You’ve heard me say this before, I believe whether we have a mid life crisis or a mid life celebration – it’s our attitude that determines our label.

Same with our entire life.  How far we go in it depends on our attitude.

And ultimately, it’s the same for everything’…….

“In all our actions, God considers the intention:  whether we act for Him or for some other motive”.  — St. Maximus the Confessor

Make it a GREAT Thursday.  It’s up to you.   Carpe diem, jeff noel  🙂

Define Life?

The adventure of life is to learn.

The purpose of life is to grow.

The nature of life is to change.

The challenge of life is to overcome.

The essence of life is to care.

The opportunity of life is to serve.

The secret of life is to dare.

The spice of life is to befriend.

The beauty of life is to give.

However you define life, I hope you find it abundantly today.  Carpe diem, jeff noel  🙂

Bank of Bad Habits?

“All our corrupt passions must be subdued, and a complex habit of virtues such as meekness, lowliness, faith, hope and love of God and man be implanted in their room before we can have the least title to enter into the Kingdom of God”.  — George Whitefield

While George Whitefield  suggests complex habits, may I be so bold as to suggest that we try to keep it simple?

Mid Life Simplicity?

Hardly.  But the idea sure beats, Mid Life Complexity.

Make it a GREAT Tuesday, because if you don’t, who will.  If not today, when?  Carpe diem, jeff noel  🙂

Mid Life Memorial Day

“Whatever you do, if you do it sincerely, will eventually become a bridge to your wholeness, a good ship that carries you through the darkness”.  — Carl Jung

There is a return on our investment for living a good and decent life.

One way to be decent is to respect those that work hard to make our Country free.  I just posted a Memorial Day thought at www.junglejeff.net

Mid Life Repetition?

What is Mid Life Repetition?

My guess? It’s taking something important, and doing it over and over again.

It could also apply to unimportant things.

Either way, repetition is what creates habits. There may be exceptions, of course.

So here’s a repeat of a quote I posted awhile back, from Carl Jung:

Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes“.

It will be a challenge, but I will not back down from trying to develop the habit of Goodness.

Some say we become what we repeatedly think about. That can be a really good, mid-life choice. Carpe diem, jeff 🙂
