What follows is my opinion from 15+ years of being on the inside listening and observing professional speakers and writers of all sorts.

Quite remarkable isn’t it?

All the advice on the web and in print. Anyone can publish anything.

Most of us aren’t writers. So we have no clue at a conscious level about embellishment and editorial license.

Embellishing is easy. And hard to disprove. So we believe everything we read.

But do these writers and speakers practice what they preach?

Rarely.

But there are a few.

Very rare.

Disney’s secret sauce is simple and not a secret. It’s the relentless discipline to always focus on overmanaging things others undermanage or ignore.

Organizational vibrancy is the result of being intentional where others are unintentional.

Grueling.

Tiring.

There are books in progress that will raise Mid Life Celebration’s public profile.

A goal so ridiculously big that fame is worth the risk. -jn

Remember, none of these words for a year: I, me, mine, my.

Why?

Because for a prolific writer to not use them is impossible.

PS. Not even in emails, social media updates and comments. Insanely difficult. Ludicrous.

Ever find yourself finally ready to do something you normally do first thing in the morning… and it’s actually time for bed?

Once in a blue moon, blogging is like that.

Why so late today?

Heading out to Edmonton, Alberta tomorrow at 6am. Much to my surprise this morning before the sun came up, discovered (miraculously) the destination is actually Saskatoon.

A three hour detour to rearrange flights and hotel (business moves slower on a Sunday morning).

All fixed. Even an airfare credit.

In the moment the mantra was, Thank goodness this was caught in Orlando and not in Edmonton.

Bright spot!
