Breaking news: With today’s five posts, a decade of prolific blog writing concludes – without missing a single day.

To the encouragers.

And it’s a disproportionately small group…

Thank you.

Never dreamed i’d become an avid morning person

Lose an hour in the morning, and you will spend all day looking for it. — Richard Whately

My day is made between 5 – 7am.

The thought of sleeping past 5am makes me anxious.

Maybe i have issues or blindspots.

All of life is give and take.

In 1999 i became a Disney Institute (DI) Keynote Speaker and Facilitator.

DI multi-day programs began with breakfast at 7am. Facilitators arrived by 6am to set up and have the classroom doors open by 6:45am.

This is how i became a morning person.

Podcast Episode: Everyone, meet Disney Institute’s jeff noel

Website spell check
In four years, no one mentioned the typo. Caught it yesterday.

Today’s five posts cover essentials for the very first episode of the new Disney Podcast by jeff noel, hosted by The Happiest Podcaster on Earth, Jody Maberry.

Jody hosts Lee Cockerell’s Creating Disney Magic podcast, now well into it’s 200+ episode. Jody hosts several other Podcasts, lives in Washington State with his lovely wife and two incredible children, is a former National Park Ranger, and someone jeff trusts and calls a friend.

Everyone, meet Disney Institute’s jeff noel.

Why is this news?

Because, finally, jeff has committed to offering the world a Disney and Disney Institute podcast entitled:

If Disney Ran Your Life.

More at the next blog…the link to get there is below, but you already know that.

Doing the right thing is not emphasized

Doing the right thing is not emphasized in the media, nor in our human circles, and not in our habits.

Why?

Because people have discovered that it takes too long to develop better habits and that the payoff is not quick enough for our weak human condition.

So we cave to conformity and the status quo.

Our spirit is willing but our body is weak.

Hey, if everyone is doing it…

Insidiously deadly.

Personal vibrancy never stands a chance.

Unless, or until…

Focus and discipline are the only tools to conquer mediocre habits and rituals.

Denying (or ignoring) this doesn’t make it untrue.

Leadership vision challenges

U Turn stoplight
First time seeing a light like this one. Heading West on Buena Vista Drive last night. We used this at the Casting Center.

Recall a time when your lofty vision became a reality. What allowed that to happen?

Recall a time when you were part of a team that pursued and completed someone else’s lofty vision. What allowed that to happen?

What are the similarities between your vision and someone else’s vision?

Recall a time when you had a vision that never materialized. What held you back?

Recall a time when you were on a team that was pursuing someone else’s vision and it never materialized. What held it back?

Now, think about your current vision. What’s to gain? What’s to lose?

What and how can you replicate what worked for you before? What and how can you replicate what worked as part of someone else’s vision? And how do you avoid the common traps.

Back to your vision and the power it holds…

Why is recalling and saying your vision, by others, a challenge? What if it wasn’t?

Do you believe there are scalable success factors that you can use to architect the desired future state?

Why or why not?
