Do we show up everyday with compelling questions?

Do we show up everyday with compelling questions?

Great questions that challenge authority (our own as well as other’s) and status quo.

Or does the way life has a habit of beating us down, making us fearful of looking stupid and out of place…

… does that encourage us to put our heads down and slog through another long day?

Everyday.

We all need someone to tell us we have a choice each day.

And that our choice is valid, and admirable, and worth overcoming hesitation (fear).

We need someone to encourage us, convince us, and cheer for us.

There are those among us who’ve done this and they can carry the torch until we learn to carry it ourselves.

Life is not a dress rehearsal. Live like you mean it!

If you can dream it you can do it. – Walt Disney

Walking where Walt walked (onstage and backstage) inspires many people to up their game.

Taking risks is risky.

So is playing it safe.

Our clocks are ticking.

Moving forward with Mid Life Celebration, it seems reasonable to double check our comfort zone.

Consider where we are and do one or both of these:

1. Un-Like Mid Life Celebration’s Facebook page if you’re more comfortable with status quo and playing it safe. Sincere best wishes to you in your life. (Being part of The Herd is a very safe place to be)
2. Ask any of your friends who want to suck the marrow out of life to Like this page. (Seriously, this is the headwaters of a movement)

The Movement is to fully embrace living like we mean it.

Amazing things are possible for each and every one of us, if we have someone who can show us the way.

Mid Life Celebration is that someone.

For example, a year from now we’ll wish we had started today.

Life is not a dress rehearsal.

Death by apathy?

What’s happening all around us is astonishingly saddening. And virtually no one is immune.

It is easier to fight for one’s principles than to live up to them. – Alfred Adler

We’re not immune from following the herd, nor from the herd’s insidious denial which remains so prevalent within it’s masses – talking a good talk, but not having the energy nor commitment to walk it.

Those of us here at Mid Life Celebration, maybe we are the hope the world needs.

What’s In It For Baby Boomers Who Follow The Movement Rather Than The Herd?

Some Doors Lead To Freedom, Others To A Trap

Like jeff noel’s tagline at Mid Life Celebration’s – ReThink. RePrioritiize. ReCommit. – his blog about our physical responsibility, Lane 8, has a similar challenge – If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough. The Herd offers insignificance and decline. The Movement offers legacy and growth.
