Where is your mind taking you today?

Got tickets today? To where?

Where is your mind taking you today?

To Optimism County?

To the despair alley.

To a growth mindset?

To a dead end, status quo, closed mindset?

To problems and obstacles?

To challenges and opportunities?

To mental vibrancy?

Radical self-care

Mickey Mouse always looks like ’Day One’. Nice photo bomb too.

Never get bored with the basics.

Like brushing and flossing.

Like saying please and thank you.

Like being present, mindful, and motivated.

Like taking radical care of yourself.

Radical self-care revolves around life’s five big choices:

  1. mind – we think
  2. body – we move
  3. spirit – we feel
  4. work – we contribute
  5. home – we dwell

Over-focus on the same things we used to under-focus on or ignore.

They ain’t the same

Disney never gets old for our household.

A positive attitude helps us slay can’t vs won’t.

Can’t and won’t are not the same things.

There was a time in life when we thought they were the same.

But then we discovered they are simply two choices at opposites ends of a spectrum.

Let’s take a positive attitude.

Who’s the most positive person you know?

It’s a trick question.

The question asks “who you know”, not “in the world”.

Your answer should be yourself, you.

You are the most positive person you know.

If you agree with this, congrats.

If you disagree, why?

And can’t you or won’t you make the changes to get the answer you deserve?

Practical consequences

Last night. Practical consequences was mentioned last night. Looked it up and like the concept.

Practical consequences.

Do better things and then harvest better, more practical consequences.

When we move from theory to action, we learn practical consequences and move our experience level forward.

Wisdom comes from experience. Experience comes from making mistakes.

There’s an enormous practical consequence for moving our experience level forward, but you already knew that, right?

Margin and attitude net this

The photo above has been missing from all five website home pages for a few weeks, off and on. Figured out why yesterday. Figuring out a technical issue is a confidence booster and it validated my preaching about taking small daily risks.

Margin and attitude net patience.

Margin is unscheduled space (time) on your calendar.

Margin is a distinguishing factor between people with personal vibrancy and people who consistently struggle to survive.

Most of my life i was over-scheduled, stressed, and struggling to survive the onslaught of each day.

It’s possible that i wasn’t over-worked. It’s possible that i was under-organized.

Margin is a luxury necessity.

Choosing an attitude of opportunity, versus adversity, is a personal and mental victory. Mental victories add up and grow like daily compound interest.

How cool is that! Use that coolness to your advantage. All day. Every day.

Update Jan. 10, 2019: The issue is back. Grateful for the Internet, for WordPress, for technology, for time to write, for ideas, etc.
