every Saturday, a reminder to “Take a bead”

Take a bead every weekend for 18 years. Yes. Dear Son, been taking one bead from this jar every weekend for 12 years now. Two thirds of our life under the same roof is over.

This is why balance is so important. Kids grow up fast. What’s your biggest regret looking back on how your children are no longer living with you?

Dear Son, a simple explanation why time flies for adults

new iPhones

Then in less than a minute, we got an invaluable lesson.

You get out of life what you put in.

Dear Son, stress creates a wasteful use of this behavior

funny fish photos
don’t be a swordfish, I mean, um, sourpuss…don’t be a sourpuss

Dear Son, stress creates a wasteful use of energy called bickering. Thanks for recognizing it and being open and honest.

Dear self, get busy figuring this out and eradicating it.

PS. The bickering was short lived, but nonetheless, it happened. Working on it being the last time. Ever. Joy does not mean stress-free, it means finding alternatives to negative reactions.
