Livin’ the dream

Today’s posts include four Morgan Wallen music videos. Taking a break from the war, business, and Covid. Morgan has a storied past. He has, in my opinion, tried to redeem himself. It’s all any of us would want, a chance to prove ourselves worthy of respect. This first song reminds me of what it’s like to be a Disney Keynote speaker…you know, with all the glamour that comes with what outsiders perceive to be a ‘rock-star’ job…thank you Morgan for capturing the essence of the paradoxical reality of “fame”…

Livin’ the dream.

Take a moment to recall Bill Wither’s song, “Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone”.

Always said while traveling constantly for Disney Institute, “Ain’t no glamour on the road.”

Lemme see your list

post it note with notes
Decent list of Rock that fed my 1970’s soul.

Lemme see your list, your first-love music genre.

Well, as a child/adolescent, Pop music from the car AM radio station was all we had. Probably a ton of one-hit wonders.

When it finally came time to vote with money, Classic Rock was the favorite donation.

No one cares about my list except me.

Same with your list.

Tis what it ’tis.

To live without

Music is Magic.

To live without..

To live without my music would be impossible to do, ‘cuz in this world of troubles, my music pulls me through.

It’s Already Started

The Christmas decorations are up in many places, including the Magic Kingdom theme park. And two nights straight, we’ve listened to Christmas music.

When do you start to get in the Christmas spirit?

Of course, there are some Mid Life Celebration readers who don’t celebrate Christmas. All are welcome here.

Growing older, it seems the miracle of Christ’s birth is magnified, as we get closer to the time when we will no longer be here.

What Song?

I Can Only Imagine
I Can Only Imagine

Here are the top five finalists, in no particular order:

  1. I Feel Good – James Brown
  2. Fruitcakes – Jimmy Buffett
  3. Netherlands – Dan Fogelberg
  4. Lifesong – Casting Crowns
  5. I Can Only Imagine – Mercy Me

This was way harder than I thought.  Anyone else struggle?

Oh, I almost forgot, you really don’t have time for this nonsense. I get it. Everyone is crazy busy.

January was supposed to be simple – Simplicity.  What the heck happened to simplicity?

I can only imagine.
