It’s Already Started

The Christmas decorations are up in many places, including the Magic Kingdom theme park. And two nights straight, we’ve listened to Christmas music.

When do you start to get in the Christmas spirit?

Of course, there are some Mid Life Celebration readers who don’t celebrate Christmas. All are welcome here.

Growing older, it seems the miracle of Christ’s birth is magnified, as we get closer to the time when we will no longer be here.

  1. I read an article last night about how well orchestrated the change is from MNSSHP to MVMCP.

Change is great. Transparent change can be magical!

  2. The ones we don’t notice. They seem to happen overnight. Like how Disney can seemingly transform the Magic Kingdom from Halloween to Christmas overnight. Most of the changes are done so well they can seem to be transparent.

Or we are just too busy to notice.

  3. Thanks. I was thinking the change was invisible rather than transparent.
It happens so seamlessly, no one notices.
    Like Magic!
Did you, or are you going to, run today? 🙂

  4. Unfortunately, my training has hit a roadblock. I suffered an injury while at work 2 weeks ago. I have not taken the time to see my doctor about it. Working 12-13 hour days on concrete floors has started to take its toll and my right foot hurts just to walk.

My son, watching me train earlier (always watching), also decided to take up running. Tomorrow we are headed a little north to Kennesaw where he will run a kids 1K fun run. I’m entered in the 5K but don’t know how my foot will hold up.

The race takes place where the Great Locomotive Chase began on April 12, 1862. The chase, one of the most daring attempts by the North to infiltrate the South during the Civil War, was brought to life by Walt Disney in 1956 in a movie starring Fess Parker.

So, a little fitness, a little history and a lot of family time!

  5. David, very sorry to hear about your injury and your long days. Do you own the store?

Have fun this weekend. What did you injure?

Please tell Benjamin (sp?) I said to stay healthy and have fun.

  6. No, I am not the owner. I run the store for the owner who sets the schedule.

It has all the symptoms of plantar fasciitis. Hoping to see the doc on Thursday to get some answers.

We had a BLAST! Toured the museum, watched a movie, and had quality family time. It doesn’t get much better.
