Longer than forever

bill gates at a desk with books
Over estimate one year. Underestimate a decade. Sounds legit.

Longer than forever is how long some dreams take.

i’m dreaming of something big going down.

And have been for “forever”.

When life challenges you, rise.

Something big is going down

crayon drawings
Upper left drawing is a brain. In 2008, didn’t know that the big box holding the four smaller boxes would become “HQ”.

Something big is going down.

What then?

It’s like a perfect storm.

Never been in this life-place before.

It’s a bit like leveling up to middle school, or high school. Or for some of us, college. Or maybe buying your first home.

It’s something special.

Uncharted territory.

That’s all i can say for now.

Thankful thinking

red bird on a wire
On today’s walk, this Cardinal sang and we communed. Cardinals are skittish. Being able to stand directly below it on an open wire, stunning.

Thankful thinking.

Resisted this morning’s temptation to make a lengthy phone call. Walking is a favorite time for 30-60 minute catch up calls with family, friends, clients.

Why resist the phone?

To be free.

To be free to think without an agenda.

The Cardinal and the Mockingbird serenaded our small, insignificant space.

It wasn’t hypnotic.

But it was close.

Thankful to think.
