Always is a big word, so is Magic

Disney Customer Service Magic Speakers
Yesterday morning on a run, working, always working. And having fun.

Always working.

Always having fun.

Disneyland wasn’t open yet, but that didn’t stop me from stopping by for a fun photo during the morning run.

Awaiting this potential Vancouver client’s yay or nay on a Disney Customer Service speech in five weeks.

PS. A week earlier, i sent a similar photo from the East coast park.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Pick us, pick us, pick us

Disney Keynote Speakers
The obvious choice. Photo: Yesterday afternoon.

Our world is full of competition. Marketing and Public relations were invented to help people and organizations differentiate themselves from their competitors.

Then the Internet came along and now we have a new Ocean of entrepreneurs who want to quit the rat race and work for themselves on their own terms.

Challenge is, this has created a new flood of “pick us because we’re really different and better than the other choices you have” competition.

Until the time when Mid Life Celebration has a Marketing and PR leader, i will need to occasionally sound like this, even though it is painful.

So many people, so much surviving…

Team Disney building
About 15 minutes into yesterday’s 10-mile Disney run.

So many people, so much surviving…if each of us conducted a simple survey for a couple days would it reveal a life-changing epiphany?

Spend the next few days (two to four at the most) casually asking the people you come across this question:

Would you say you are closer to thriving each day or surviving each day?

Then ask yourself the same question.

And decide if you are good to go with your answer.

If Disney ran your mental attitude

Dead Poet's Society
The day Robin Williams died, an email from a 1990’s Disney colleague.

If Disney ran your mental attitude, we’d ask four simple questions:

  1. How well are your employees able to articulate your vision?
  2. How engaged are your employees in carrying out your vision?
  3. How clear are your employees on what they are being held accountable for?
  4. How committed are your employees, day in and day out?

There are many more questions but these are the baseline starting points.

.think .differently Disney style

Best Disney Healthcare Speakers
7am yesterday…

Top Disney Conference Keynote Speakers
If you don’t walk away .thinking. differently the speaker has failed.

.think .differently Disney style…

If you’re looking for that type of perspective – thinking differently –  there’s this (retired and out on his own) Disney keynote speaker most people have never heard of…

His ideal client is an organization that has decided to burn the ships – the CEO has made a formal commitment to move forward differently, and better.

It’s a relationship that is analogous to adults who struggle (like i did as i approached my 40th birthday in 1999) with their health and hire a personal trainer to transform decades of decent, but less-than-optimal habits.

PS. What will make this story more interesting is to click through the four other short posts, all with pictures and brief narratives of what speaking was like from five different perspectives. Simply scroll down about 5-6 lines and click “here” to continue until you end up here again.
