Our questions proclaim (whether we want them to or not) what we value.
Shallow questions, for example, reveal a shallow mindset. Begging the question, “Why so shallow?”
Deep, thought-provoking (often painful) questions, for example, reveal our mindset too, and invite the question, “Why so much thought and focus?”
It doesn’t matter which we gravitate too, what’s undeniable is how our questions speak to our values, our hopes, and ultimately, to our intentionality in achieving peace and contentment

Mid Life Celebration: rethink • reprioritize • recommit is a short book that helped me make sense of my excuses and my regrets, and helped me prepare for the inevitable second chances that often arrive without warning.
i wish a book exactly like this would have been available when i was 21.
For most of us, where we are now is not who we are.
We have hopes and dreams on the back burner.
Can’t wait to read the book for the 31st time.

And the crazy thing is every one of us has a ton of experience because we’ve all made a ton of mistakes. And let’s not discount the mistakes from not taking action – all those times we hesitated and talked ourselves out of taking action.
Wisdom comes from an underrated source…
Wisdom comes from experience and experience comes from making mistakes.
To know is to do. To know and not do, is to not yet know.
Do something that scares you and eventually you won’t be so scared. This can become a daily habit.
Note: Spending $2k on Mark’s course was a mistake, but only in hindsight. What i got from the decision to act was learning that fact. But i continued to hold on, thinking something would change. It never did. Unsubscribing set me free and gave me peace.

The palest ink is better than the best memory. – Chinese Proverb
Over time, the trail of posts reveals the best memory.
Life is hard.
When our son reaches this conclusion, may he find solace in getting daily glimpses into how a life can be redesigned.
And secondly, it is no longer possible for me to begin a single day without the amplified gratitude that comes from two hours of daily self-reflection.
