Take your time but don’t wait

Disney Keynote Speakers
You give yourself an A+ for creating your own learning environment, right?

Take your time but don’t wait.

Your clock is ticking.

Ignoring it doesn’t change things.

Addressing it doesn’t guarantee things.

No one said life was easy.

And no one said you can’t make up your own game plan to live like you mean it.

Make sure your creative ideas have no choice but to flourish.

The privilege of a lifetime

Deleting computer files
Decide and let go of anything not serving you. This requires self-reflection, vision, and courage.

The privilege of a lifetime is to live as yourself.

Our attitude determines our path.

Our path directs our journey.

Our journey is our final exam.

True or false, we are all self-made?

True or false, we are all self-made?

Had to reread this and then it made perfect sense.

We are all self-made, but only the successful will admit it. – Earl Nightingale

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Wisdom comes from an underrated source

Writers coaches
Maybe 5 years ago, at the end of a presentation Mark did for aspiring writers, i spent $2k on Mark’s “Wealthy Writer’s Wisdom group”. Nothing happened from this. Successful failure.

So ridiculously simple we run right past it.

And the crazy thing is every one of us has a ton of experience because we’ve all made a ton of mistakes. And let’s not discount the mistakes from not taking action – all those times we hesitated and talked ourselves out of taking action.

Wisdom comes from an underrated source…

Wisdom comes from experience and experience comes from making mistakes.

To know is to do. To know and not do, is to not yet know.

Do something that scares you and eventually you won’t be so scared. This can become a daily habit.

Note: Spending $2k on Mark’s course was a mistake, but only in hindsight. What i got from the decision to act was learning that fact. But i continued to hold on, thinking something would change. It never did. Unsubscribing set me free and gave me peace.

Thriving strategies and tactics learned from a life at Disney

Top New Years Resolutions
Being fit and at a vibrant body weight, plus living life to the fullest – what if that was us?

Personal leadership is the most important, mission critical strategy for thriving in life versus surviving. Self-discipline is the key tactic in accomplishing this strategy.

There is nothing more important than being crystal clear on what your goal is.

For instance, my goal is to be an example for our son, rather than a warning. An example on how to age in a healthy, balanced way, and live with peace and contentment in spite of life’s never-ending hardships challenges.

Then be unwavering in your commitment in building, and lifetime maintenance of, a foundation based on:

  1. Impeccable honesty
  2. Behaving admirably
  3. Personal responsibility
  4. Self-control

We either work hard to be self-disciplined or we work hard recovering from poor self-discipline.
