Clutter kills our attitude

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Is clutter (including social media clutter) killing our passion?

Change does not happen by reading ‪Facebook‬, LinkedIn, or Twitter‬ posts, and hitting the like, share, or retweet button.

Change doesn’t happen by consistently defaulting to “tomorrow-mode”.

We can’t do “it” today because there’s too much clutter.

So we promise, “Tomorrow”.

Today (right now)  is yesterday’s “tomorrow”.

Now what?

Mid Life Celebration blog posts are fuel

Fall foliage

Is inspiration fuel?

Doing what we say we’re gonna do is fuel. And a million other things are fuel as well.

Mid Life Celebration blog posts are fuel to keep your daily “fire for life” lit.

Are we throwing twigs and leaves on our fire or solid oak logs?

We’re in charge of these choices.

Is it careful what you wish for, or a dream come true?

Jet in sky

The car arrived at 4:00am to take the busy executive to the Orlando airport. Ten days in California on business.

Wondering if this is where she thought she’d be in life.

Wondering if it was the hope all along or was it simply serendipity?

Wondering how executives define themselves when they stop being in charge. You know, retire.

Wondering how any of us will define ourselves, after, you know, we retire.

Willing to stand alone?

Columbian Ground Squirrel at Logan Pass

(photo: This Columbian Ground Squirrel at Logan Pass has a big job – get as fat as it can for Winter)

We think, we move, we feel, we earn, and we dwell.

  1. Mind – think
  2. Body – move
  3. Spirit – feel
  4. Money – earn
  5. HQ – dwell

Balance.

Here at Midlife Celebration we talk about our thoughts, you know, our attitude. The degree to which we rise or fall here will have a direct and proportional ripple effect through the four others.

What are we willing to commit to, bleed for, stand alone for, make a ruckus about, and generally be unreasonable about?

Because that’s what’s going to fuel our purpose and ensure we are an example instead of a warning in life.
