If this is true, what does today and our future hold

We wire our attitude’s circuit board with every thought and every piece of self-talk. Photo: yesterday, our pool’s digital app circuit board.

As we think so we are.

Most of us, myself included, have inferiority complexes.

As we reach midlife we should experience these feelings much less often.

Why?

Because of the way we think.

i believe it’s possible to eliminate negative thoughts with the help of a balanced approach to life.

Bottomline (in my opinion), we need to feed ourselves with positive self-talk, continuous personal development, and constant loving care of our mind, body and spirit.

No one can make you do this every morning

Orlando Sunrise
A few minutes ago, January 30, 2016.

Yesterday marked 30 years to the day for the Challenger disaster.

A few days before that marked three years since a friend took his life at work.

Almost daily, each of us is faced with world events and personal events that are painful and senseless.

No one is immune to this distant (world) and close (personal) pain and confusion.

We must greet the day with joy, hope, and gratitude.

Well, we don’t have to, and that’s the point of this post.

Faith is more elusive than hope

Had hoped for the final Sanibel sunset to be spectacular last night.

Stormy weather is common during Florida Summer afternoons. Sometimes this extends into the evening. Last night was one of those nights. But just to be sure, i walked down to the beach to double check. The first photo convinced me there would be no decent sunset. The second proved me wrong.

Faith and hope are pretty cool.

Hope is easier to have.

Faith is the tough one.

We can control our hope, but faith is tested by the things we can’t control.

Glorious news…

Finally received notification yesterday that our first choice (of three) for High School is confirmed.

Love the contrast of average versus excellent leadership. The closeness of the word leadership.

Imperceptible though.

Hard to notice if it wasn’t pointed out.

We judge ourselves on our intentions, others judge us on our behaviors.

Whatever it is that still remains as a dream you wish could come true…two words for you.

.lead .differently

Don’t let it be imperceptible.

Biggest mental attitude April Fool ever?

Pinocchio statue at Magic Kingdom
Too bad our nose doesn’t grow when we lie to ourselves.

It comes down to a super simple concept doesn’t it?

We are in charge of our attitude and it’s 100% our responsibility to manage and fix anything that gets in the way of being positive, hopeful, optimistic and grateful.

Accept no substitutes excuses.

We are fool’s not to believe everything is our fault.

With each passing year, i shed more excuses. The bag that was once full of them is nearly empty now.
