If you don’t expect it, you settle

“The check is in the mail.” Receiving payment in advance is wonderful. And expected.

If you don’t expect it, you settle.

You may still have to settle, but without trying, you will always settle.

With trying, you may surprise yourself at how readily the Universe meets you where you are.

Our expectations on what we see are also prone to habitual repetition.

This is what i saw after opening my eyes this morning from the second floor loft. Arrived last night at 10pm. Expected it to be magnificent.

  2. Better than expected?
  3. Much better than expected?
  4. Worse than expected?
  5. Much worse than expected.

What’s interesting in all five questions is the notion that what we expect is the measure against what actually happens.

And what actually happens is probably insanely influenced by what we expect.

And this goes on day after day until we die.
