FIXED! White screen of death, mind

WordPress admin screen shot
Once again, i cannot overstate how grateful i am that only one of my 10 websites had the dreaded “white screen of death”.

GoDaddy rocks.

Had an incredible email exchange with an incredibly helpful GoDaddy employee.

Over the course of a couple hours she fixed the issue and shared this was the cause, as well as the cause’s possible catalyst:

The error was caused by WordPress core, as it was missing some of its crucial files. As I stated, I am not sure what exactly happened that would cause this. Perhaps it was a failed WordPress update, but this is just guessing.

White screen of death, mind

Last night ended on a high.
white screen of death
This morning began with a low – the dreaded “White Screen of Death”.

Loyal GoDaddy fan since 2008. Yee-haa!

After a good eight hours of sleep last night, 5:00AM yielded this discovery – the dreaded ‘white screen of death‘.

In 17 years of daily blogging, i’ve experienced a fair share of uh-oh moments.

This one is podium-worthy. But not in a good way. The opposite.

The closer to death, mind

A critical slide in my signature Disney Customer Service Keynote. The slide summarizes the content below.

The closer to you get to death, the less you give a hoot what others think about the way you think and what you think about.

Why?

You finally realize you cannot control others’ thinking. Plus, most of us don’t know what others truly think — another late in life revelation.

Review: We live our life the way we want. None of us is gonna change who we are. (yes, exceptions exist)

To be clear, we probably have a few exceptional people we would actually change for.

So why stop caring what others think?

Because you’ll be dead soon and none of it will matter.

Hard Day’s Night

Today’s posts celebrate yesterday’s shuffle-play songs and non-song ideas.

Ps. Most years March 21 is Spring’s first day. But this year it is yesterday, March 20.

Pss. Today’s posts find me basking in the present moment. Simultaneously, melancholy about the 16-year run coming to an end.

Ukraine a month and a day later

Ukraine news update
One month and a day since Russia began the invasion.

Ukraine a month and a day later…

Refugee count near 10-million.

Death toll unknown, but likely thousands. Children, Grandparents, civilians.

Skies still not closed.

President Zelenskyy pleading with the world for just one-percent of their tanks and fighter jets.

Now Russia is making an insane claim.
