There’s a sense of accomplishment simply from announcing you are going to do something, like write a book. Announcing is a procrastinator’s miracle drug. Nothing has been accomplished but it feels like a big step has been made. Keep it to yourself and do the work first, then announce your results.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.
The Magic of making decisions is undeniable. Yet we procrastinate anyway.
Why?
It’s just easier to play it safe by not making a decision, no?
Sent the top logo pick in yesterday. Feels good to be decisive.
It could end up being a bad choice but i’ll never know if i don’t commit.

Great things never begin with the bliss of certainty.
Blogging here is going to become more interesting in the coming days, weeks, and months.
Why?
Because today marks the official call to begin the official process.
Incredible what attitude contributes to making dreams come true.
Incredible, also, how fragile attitude can be when fear raises it’s ugly head and says, “This might not work. Be careful.”
