Speaking of failing to succeed…
We need to call out the elephant in the room:
i’m direct and very focused.
This can be good.
It can also be bad.
Depends on the audience (and on the audience’s motivation).
Here’s my challenge, i’m also warm and fuzzy.
We (father and son) need to brainstorm ways to minimize the gap between direct and focused, and, warm and fuzzy.
If i (we) can figure this out, the coaching opportunities soar in their effectiveness.
Why?
Any resistance to my messaging inhibits optimal learning.
Becoming defensive sends all creative thought in the wrong direction.
