When you are literally the only one for the entire day

Teachers have a work day with no students.

Waiting for my next appointment with our Son’s English teacher.

Six parent-teacher conference meetings yesterday, a Friday.

None of the teachers had more than two parents request the opportunity. For several teachers, i was their only appointment.

i know if i was still at Disney and traveling like i used to, i’d have missed the opportunity as well.

All students had off to accommodate teacher accessibility by interested or concerned parents.

By the way, i was only interested, not concerned. It’s taken a year and a half to move from being concerned to being interestingly hopeful. Slow and steady wins the transformational race.

The goal of a Disney Conference Keynote Speaker

Disney conference keynote speaker
2013, my 29th of 30+ incredible years at Disney.

The goal of a Disney Conference Keynote Speaker is the same as every other motivational speaker.

Ensure that your client feels like they got more than they paid for.

And perhaps every professional speaker dreams of generating a standing ovation.

The reasons for standing ovations are not selfish or egotistical, or at least they shouldn’t be. The reason a standing “O” is a logical speaker goal is self-evident. People are moved.

i only stand up for a speaker if they’ve moved me in a way that my only natural response when they are done is overwhelming gratitude.

The easiest way to say thanks for a speech like that is to simply stand while you applaud.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

This website is about our mental attitude. To easily and safely leave this site to read today’s post on jeff’s physical health website, click here.

What do you do? (reprise)

Where are you from?

What do you do? (reprise)

Two safe and typical conference networking questions.

Our attitude drives our thoughts.

Our thoughts drive our behaviors.

Our behavior drives our results and success.

Our success results drive our happiness.

What if we abandoned the safe and typical questions and led with something from this list?:

What’s your favorite color? Why?

Not counting this conference, when was the last time you felt this alive?

What did you come here to find?

Those questions took about 20 seconds to come up with. It’s easy to think creatively when our attitude craves it.
