Including you might get banned, or kicked off the team.

What does this mean to any of us?

Everyone told the beginning blogger to focus on one blog.

No one is going to get five interconnected blogs.

Art only becomes art when it is done freely, with unstoppable passion.

You, reading this, are an artist.

But you may not believe it.

(Find a million reasons to believe it. The best time to start was yesterday. The next best time is today.)

Doing the same thing everyone else does, but better or differently

Pausing for a minute to give the book stuff a break. Late last night stumbled upon some beautiful art. Sean Quigley was 16 when he put this rendition of Little Drummer Boy together in 2011.

One boy, one song, he did it all, except the video (his sister did that). To honor a King. To honor his passion (music), to honor things he isn’t even aware he honors yet.

Art.

Doing the same thing everyone else does, but better or differently (and in rare cases, both):

 

 

Okay, so one little book thing. It’s art because among the many different applications people can use it for, perhaps none is more pronounced than balance.

Living with balance is art.

The art of useful information at MLC is only for those who treasure balance and wellness. The manuscript review arrived yesterday. It suggests:

Jeff Noel is a good writer, with a refreshing, much needed message for those who are lost or discouraged in midlife.

It didn’t say jeff is a great writer, nor did it suggest Mid Life Celebration: rethink • reprioritize • recommit will put a dent in the universe.

What could be delusional for one, is art to another.

Not everyone gets this. I write for those who do and for those considering it.

Art doesn’t have to be colorful or complex, but it does require thought

Our struggles are our friends, even if they do not seem so. As you read the struggle here, contemplate your own, and what will it take to inspire you to keep moving forward.

Struggling with writing 100 days ahead. Why? Because it’s weird. And yet at the same time, it feels like art.

Art is doing something differently than tradition. Or it can be doing tradition differently.

Perhaps you even do something remarkably.

In a way that others remark.

Compliments?

Complaints?

Doesn’t matter.

When things are done the way they have always been done, there is no conversation.

Today is the first day of Autumn and it’s the third day of the new year.

Does it even matter?

A resounding no – for almost everyone – for the herd.

Art?

To some, possibly.

What is our art?

It might be the way we live our life or the way we help others.
