Are you pretty sure how June is gonna go?

the future's so bright we gotta wear shades

I anticipate June being very challenging. Full of opportunities to feel overwhelmed – the guilt from serious, hard work can be potentially depressing. Because it is, after all, the advent of “summer vacation”.

Can our habits cause us to be cranky?

messages subliminal
I love subliminal messages

If food can scientifically help reduce our crankiness, what role do our daily habits play? If we do these daily, would it help or hurt our crankiness?:

  • read, study, associate with, and practice positive thinking
  • exercise regularly, eat a balanced diet, get adequate rest
  • pray for and serve others before self
  • becoming increasingly more effective and efficient at our job
  • get and stay decently organized

What say ye?

we should be ceo of our own personal optimist's club

Habits are what we think and do, without thinking. I’ve found by reading, studying, practicing, visualizing, and most recently, writing, my attitude can be developed to excellent levels of proficiency like anything else I strive to become better at.

Being in tune with our habits isn’t a conscious awareness. Not usually. This is why I need to be conscious of it. So when I’m negative, I can fix it. Fast! Denial and excuses could make me bitter. It would seem being bitter with life is toxic and destructive. I refuse to live with that.

The day I stopped focusing on the have to do’s and refocused on the get to’s…like night and day.

Department of redundancy department

positive attitude
Pools don't clean themselves and positivity doesn't just appear.

In almost 53 years, the best way that I’ve found (your milage may vary) to maintain a positive outlook is constantly remind myself to never get bored with the redundancy of doing the basics over and over and over and…

You were hoping for something more concrete or easier? Good luck with that.
