Behind the scenes, work is quietly and steadily being done.

Writing changes people.

Only people who write daily understand this.

Wish i could impart the wisdom to everyone who isn’t prepared to do the work.

What a fantasy, right?

Start writing a little bit every day.

If you really want to live on the edge, publish every day.

Show the world what you believe in.

And be prepared for no one to care.

Be prepared for deafening silence.

And keep writing anyway.

It will either turn out worse than you expected or much better than you expected.

Sorry, but i’m not able to predict your results.

Life would be easier if i didn’t write every morning

https://youtu.be/mW6hFttt_KE

Life would be easier if i didn’t write for two hours every morning.

i think about the effort and commitment that happens every day, without fail.

These thoughts are especially strong when there’s more on my plate than is comfortable.

Take right now for example.

It would be so easy to not write (for two hours).

So easy.

Literally a no-brainer.

But i write instead.

Disney Business Book writing update

Disney Business author
Last week’s stats. Plus a book writing update…

Today is Day 223 of a 365 epic Disney Business Book writing challenge.

Can a Disney expert write seven Disney Business books in one year?

The answer lies in something Walt Disney said…

“It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”

You are an April Fool

Sam Walton quote
Serendipitous quote yesterday from LinkedIn. No individual writes 5 daily, differently-themed blog posts every day of the year, year after year. But since April Fools Day 2009, that changed.

Fool, stay different, it’s the only way to keep your freedom. And the only way to avoid fitting into someone else’s standards.

.think .differently

Easy as heck to think about. Hard as heck to live out every day.

It remains difficult until the point where it no longer becomes difficult.

Today is year nine’s first post.

Post number 14,611.

Day number 2,923.

From, “Never in a million years” to “i can’t start a day without it.”

Writing to feel uncomfortable

selfie with toddler
The daily learning curve continues to be steep for both. And they both thrive on it.

My posts are designed to make me feel uncomfortable.

Maybe you feel (or felt) uncomfortable too.

Not everyone likes this.

i thrive on it.

Oxygen, so to speak.

Why?

The goal with making myself uncomfortable is to challenge me to .think .differently

And the goal with thinking differently is to then reach the point where i no longer feel uncomfortable.

No excuses.

No regrets.

Who doesn’t want that?
