Five Daily Blogs, Seriously?

9 years, 11 months, and 30 days so far

It’s been nine years, 11 months, and 30 days so far.

What?

Tomorrow, March 31, 2019, i finish a decade-long prolific blogging effort. On April Fools Day 2009, i started what was destined to fail: a 100-day, self-imposed writer’s boot camp to write five daily, differently-themed blog posts on five individual websites.

Not only did it not fail, but it hasn’t stopped for a single day, for a decade.

How is this even possible?

Five Daily Blogs, Seriously?

This concludes a quick decade of prolific blogging

Famous Miami artist
Last night we toured the Miami Street Art scene. Photo: Inside the premier art gallery. This piece lists at $45,000.

Today (January 31, 2019) is the 3,593rd consecutive day of writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts on five separate but daisy-chained websites.

This will post live on March 31, 2019.

And as this is read in real time, the decade of prolific blog writing is completed and the blog writing will do tomorrow what it has for 3,652 (includes 2 leap years) consecutive days…

Extend the consecutive days without missing a day streak to 3,653.

MidLife Celebration Is...

i have to laugh

Disney Institute speakers
Found this on a Google Search for Disney Institute. The first 6 years of daily writing, i worked and traveled full-time for Disney Institute. How was that possible?

i have to laugh.

@

myself.

Who wakes up at 5:00AM (sometimes earlier, if traveling) every morning and spends the next two hours writing?

And who does this morning ritual for over 3,000 consecutive days?

i’ll tell you who.

A freak.

And who says a mid-life crisis should be celebrated?

Same freak.

(me, right now, giggling)

Dear Son

i want you to write for 3,000 consecutive days

Disney University
Every. Single. Day.

Today, June 17, 2017 marks the 3,000th consecutive day.

On April Fools Day 2009, the 100-day challenge to write five daily, differently-themed blog posts for 100 consecutive days was an “impossible” goal.

Today is also Day 282 of a 365-day epic writing commitment:

Write seven Disney Business books in a single year.

It’s been challenging to do both.

As the finish line (Sept 9) looms for the Disney business books, i’m ever closer to pausing the daily blogging.

One month ago i felt fairly certain that today would be the final Summer blogging day.

So torn.

Blogging occupies two hours of every day.

The Disney book writing would require at least two hours every day.

Fingers crossed i do what i need to do tomorrow.

Five Daily Blogs, Seriously?

150 days ago today

African proverb
Perhaps the digital library has a chance of survival after i die. Photo: screen shot from Pinterest.

What’s your attitude regarding impossible?

What’s your attitude regarding doing seemingly insignificant work year after year?

Just realized 150 days ago the 14,000th Mid Life Celebration, LLC post went live.

Such a small, meaningless event in world history.

Such a brilliant testament to slow and steady, the journey of a thousand miles begins wth a single step, and a year from now you’ll wish you had begun today.

Rock on with your slow and steady self.
