Clarity is a Disney leadership strategy

Disney Keynote Speakers
Clarity ideas from yesterday while riding a bike to the bank.

Clarity is freedom.

Clarity is fuel.

Clarity is power.

Become irrationally positive

Deer near Walt Disney World
Yesterday morning on the bicycle work-commute to Walt Disney World.

Become irrationally positive.

There’s an incomplete picture of your world, and it creates an incomplete insight into how you can become incredibly positive, how long it takes… and the quiet, hard work involved.

You probably can’t envision yourself as an incredibly positive person, because of your personality or circumstance, or because you think you look and act nothing like a very positive person.

And if you can’t see yourself as irrationally positive, how can you believe you can become that kind of person?

Our positive mental attitude skills can (will) decay if not practiced (exercised) routinely (daily).

Three critical questions to put up or shut up

Orlando Innovation Keynote Speaker
Write it down. Publish it even.

What attitude do you want to live with?

Why do you want live with that attitude?

What are you prepared to do to live like that?

Happy 47th birthday WDW

Disney Institute Keynote Speaker
There’s a process for these photos. This was the first picture at this location. Chose the Incredibles because Incredibles II just released a few weeks ago.

Walt Disney was trapped at Disneyland.

He never saw it coming.

One-hundred and sixty acres was 10 times bigger than the original “spare” land he had at his Studio.

The city council never approved his request to rezone those 16 acres.

They didn’t want a year-round carnival in their city.

Walt saw it as a blessing because his ideas continued to expand well beyond anything 16 acres could hold.

So 160 acres….oh my gosh…plenty of land.

Boy was he wrong.

After Disneyland opened in 1955, and as Walt kept dreaming, he told his inner circle to secretly buy up as much swampland near Orlando as they possibly could.

There’s only one way to find out

Disney Institute Keynote Speaker
Walt Disney said, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”

There’s only one way to find out if something is impossible.

Try to do what others say can’t be done.

Try to do something no one else has thought of.
