Miracle grow for your attitude?

That Abe Lincoln quote almost hidden at the photo’s bottom edge.

Woke up today with this thought…not sure where it came from. Used Siri to dictate an email to myself because i knew i’d forget it in a minute. It’s a helpful reminder to myself. Maybe to others.

“May you have things worth being motivated about and may you have the motivation to peruse them.

And even if these things are difficult, may they be the right things for the right reasons. And may it be something important enough for you to defend.”

Go.

Life would be easier if i didn’t write every morning

https://youtu.be/mW6hFttt_KE

Life would be easier if i didn’t write for two hours every morning.

i think about the effort and commitment that happens every day, without fail.

These thoughts are especially strong when there’s more on my plate than is comfortable.

Take right now for example.

It would be so easy to not write (for two hours).

So easy.

Literally a no-brainer.

But i write instead.

It was a few decades ago

Since i’m probably staying inside today during the solar eclipse, this is a great clip to reminisce (from the 1980’s) on about paying attention to detail.

The audience has literally zero appreciation for the fact it takes 24 hand-drawn frames of animation for one second of viewing time on the screen.

You’ll notice it now because i’m pointing it out.

Watch the light on Roger Rabbit change as the lamp swings.

If 99.9% of viewers will never notice, why do it?

How can you apply your answer to your own work?
