Slow down to speed up

To do great work a man must be very idle as well as very industrious.

Unexpected joy from being sober

Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park, hiking to Ptarmigan Tunnel, and looking back where i had been.

Unexpected joy from being sober.

Sober people at a party or event are stereotyped as boring, stiff, serious.

The real stereotype is this: focused, disciplined, fun, spontaneous, in control, uninhibited, confident, creative, strong.

No competitive artist in any genre ever performs spectacularly when drinking.

None.

Strength, confidence, excitement = sober.

Professors vs practitioners

Mickey Mouse toy and jeff noel saying
Texted this to a CEO client yesterday. Additionally, it’s how i feel about gurus. i watch how gurus live their life, not what they preach.

Professors vs practitioners.

What’s the difference?

One makes a living off of theories.

One makes a living by doing the work, without any theories.

Be careful who you follow and listen to.

You should be the most positive person you know.

If you aren’t, chances are you are spending too much time with professors.

Attitude Church

Seth Godin book
Cheryl brought home some books from her Disney office. This one is eye-catching. It’s always our turn.

Attitude Church.

Church holds both positive and negative stereotypes.

Take anything in life and you have the same like-dislike paradox.

You must find your own path for whether you invest in, or shun, a positive mental attitude.

At the end of the day, how you see things is how they are.

This will strengthen you or weaken you.

Which do you see?

They ain’t the same

Disney never gets old for our household.

A positive attitude helps us slay can’t vs won’t.

Can’t and won’t are not the same things.

There was a time in life when we thought they were the same.

But then we discovered they are simply two choices at opposites ends of a spectrum.

Let’s take a positive attitude.

Who’s the most positive person you know?

It’s a trick question.

The question asks “who you know”, not “in the world”.

Your answer should be yourself, you.

You are the most positive person you know.

If you agree with this, congrats.

If you disagree, why?

And can’t you or won’t you make the changes to get the answer you deserve?
