It begs us to watch even though we don’t have time…

Sitting here in Saskatoon’s Hotel Bessborough stumbled upon this short Steve Jobs video speech.

It begs us to watch even though we don’t have time…

Peace and contentment come from one place.

Balance.

The book written for a young child contains the same message as Steve Jobs, but was written without the eminent, fast approaching reality of death.

That’s what makes the book special.

There was no pressure to write it.

None.

And the author added a little more peace and contentment to his life.

This is how it goes.

If Steve Jobs were to say there are no shortcuts, we’d all shake our heads ‘yes’.

When you hear it here instead?

Whatever! Right?

Wishing you peace and contentment immeasurable.

Boat called Jeff’s Dream… wonder what he does for a living.

Dear readers, truth be told, we are all living a life we would die for.

How?

Easy.

Why?

Auto pilot mostly.

Because we are all going to die.

The default mode is a slam dunk. Guaranteed.

No effort required and we are a sure thing.

And since death is inevitable, why not up the ante?

Live for something really worth dying for?

You know, something much bigger than spending our adult lives going through the motions.

Back to the notion that life is not a dress rehearsal.

Not only does our positive attitude journey begin with a single step, it goes on forever.

Forever meaning until we die.

To accept anything less than not wasting a single day being unthankful, not positive, not optimistic, is to not yet have the confidence we need to enjoy our final day.

Dear readers, obsessed with death?

home office
The lines get blurred between practical, necessary, and ignore

Obsessed with death?

Maybe we should be.

Not like it’s not gonna happen.

You know what’s kinda funny?

Jokes are funny.

We’ve heard all types – simple, childish, adult, long, short, off-color, spiritual, etc.

The obscene joke is when it’s time to die, and we are totally unprepared.

No?

Good argument for obsessing over death.

The end result is obsessing over living like we mean it.

Right now. All day. Everyday.
