How intentionality teaches you

It’s taken our entire lifetime to get to this day called today.

When we live intentionally, everything becomes our teacher.

Everything.

Paying attention can only happen when we slow down.

Slowing down is not socially promoted or even remotely possible in today’s world.

Is it?

Give up or slowly work on slowing down.

Shedding, purging, letting go, simplifying, pausing to sit – and listen to our own breath.

We know what’s most important yet it gets buried in the day to day.

Health. Love. Family. Friends. Work.

When people say work isn’t as important, think about our ability to provide for life’s necessities and life’s luxuries – like decent health insurance and reliable transportation.

The strange, intermittent left arm tingling from the past week remained constant yesterday.

Drove to the Center for Living Well first. They said go to the ER, now.

Will miss tonight’s performance, but didn’t miss yesterday’s final practice session.

Mid Life Celebration is about making the most out of the hand we are dealt.

Always.

Insight: Unknowingly, to be the only parent at the final rehearsal was inspiring to the students.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 6 yesterday, September 9.

One-hundred days from now this post goes live.

No one will care about what happened 100 days ago.

And that’s the point.

Inspiration and excitement are like narcotics.

What we want to accomplish is simple, yet elusive… sustaining our ‘high’ all day everyday, without any negative side effects.

It’s called balance.

Impossible is for amateurs.
