Is this the type of attitude that means everything?

Most of us will not be consciously aware of the transformational change that a wakeup call potentially brings.

If we ever thought about preparing to die… getting all our affairs in order so we can do and say the things we feel are most important… any form of ulterior motive is mute.

None of those motives matter, because death is around the corner.

Who cares about material things, or titles, etc?

No one who is counting their days.

If we could live like that without a sense of eminent death, how glorious would that be?

Attitude and expectation go hand in hand

Mid Life Celebration book at Rocky Mountain National Park

Attitude and expectation go hand in hand.

True that.

Knowing this isn’t enough though.

Making it work (dedicated, consistent action) for you – and for others – is the reason they go together so well.

The higher our expectations, the better our attitude.

Willing to stand alone?

Columbian Ground Squirrel at Logan Pass

(photo: This Columbian Ground Squirrel at Logan Pass has a big job – get as fat as it can for Winter)

We think, we move, we feel, we earn, and we dwell.

  1. Mind – think
  2. Body – move
  3. Spirit – feel
  4. Money – earn
  5. HQ – dwell

Balance.

Here at Midlife Celebration we talk about our thoughts, you know, our attitude. The degree to which we rise or fall here will have a direct and proportional ripple effect through the four others.

What are we willing to commit to, bleed for, stand alone for, make a ruckus about, and generally be unreasonable about?

Because that’s what’s going to fuel our purpose and ensure we are an example instead of a warning in life.

Dear readers, something we can all agree on

Rising Sun Motor Inn and Cabins Cabin

(photo: Simple living helps us manage our responsibilities. Our Cabin at Rising Sun Motor Inn, GNP)

The quality of our work is dependent on many things.

We have all experienced this. And continue to experience this. Even as we read this.

Same with our attitude.

Sometimes we wish we had done a better job yesterday.

Go easy on yourself.

And don’t let the notion of not producing something amazing stop you from producing.

Writing everyday is a metaphor for this.

Focus on our attitude everyday. All day.

PS. Taking a break from Glacier National Park today.
