Disney Keynote Speaker hiking — The Crown of The Continent – Glacier National Park. First trip begins in 11 days.

Happy New Day.

Awoke at 3am.

Filled with ideas and excitement.

But if i start working at 3am, i miss two hours of sleep.

Short-term, like until about 1pm, it would be an advantage.

But after lunch, i’d be ready for a nap – i’d rather not.

Decision time – so i close my eyes and hope to not reawaken until 5am.

Probably 10 more looks at the clock as time seemed to stand still.

i fought the temptation to arise.

Hard.

Perseverance paid off.

Eventually and excitedly began at 4:55am.

The 2018 Disney Way Keynote Speaking has been busy January through May and i’m now officially on a Summer sabbatical through September.

Hell-bent on finishing the series of Disney Business books that have have been incubating, two-thirds completed, in my mind and heart.

Welcome back home to Walt Disney World

Out for an hour-plus leisurely walk after breakfast, passing time until 10:30am when i would leave the Kentucky Drury Inn for the airport to come home.

Stumbled into a Barnes and Noble and what was staring at me in the foyer book racks?

Glacier National Park is obviously listed in this book.

Intentionally resisting the countdown until today.

Why?

Never want to post in real time when i’m away from home, especially an 11-day absence.

So, now that i’ve reached a safe date to begin a countdown…

Only 20 days until the flight to Kalispell, Montana.

And in the same breath, “Welcome back home to Walt Disney World.”

May 30 – June 10.

Leave in 20 days, return in 30.

Eleven days of writing.

And…

Sales meetings with:

Kalispell Chamber of Commerce, Whitefish Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce, Glacier Conservancy, Xanterra Resorts, and The National Park Service.

Seven.

Disney.

Business.

Books.

Glacier.

National.

Park.

One million acres.

734 miles of trail.

300 grizzlies.

Trying not to let the anticipation consume me.
