Must. Write. Second. Book.

Must. Write. Second. Book.

One month ago i thought i could begin on April Fools Day 2016 and accomplish two ambitious goals:

  1. Begin and finish the second book’s storyboard
  2. Get the first draft edited and have it be ready for formatting.

One out of two ain’t bad.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

This website is about our mental attitude. To easily and safely leave this site to read today’s post on jeff’s physical health website, click here.

The two obvious obituaries we could write for ourselves

jeff noel's book Mid Life Celebration
Life by design or life by default… intentional or unintentional (very first Mid Life Celebration book)

Want to share this challenge with you. If we could write two obituaries, it would be these two:

  1. What it would read like if we made no changes in our life’s approach?
  2. What it would read like we actually did a bunch of the stuff we promised ourselves we would do?

And then after reading our two self-penned obituaries, which one makes us smile, feeling peaceful and contented?

How Do You Do It?

Some things are challenging to explain, like this photo. (Disney's Best Friends Pet Care)

Ever have one of those moments when someone asks, “How do you do it?” and you don’t really have a logical answer?

Last week, a few days before New Year’s, enjoying dinner, our friend asked how the blogging was going. Cheryl chimed in, “Jeff hit his 5,000th post on 11.11.11”.

Stacey then asked, “So you reuse some of your older posts?”

Pausing, and thinking for a moment, “No. There are recurring themes, over and over, but not the same stories.”
