Aim low mentally

Aim low mentally, said no one ever.

Repetition is how i learn best.

Note: Please resist temptation to eye-roll at today’s seemingly redundant posts. Here’s the insight – a low bar in just one of life’s five big choices poisons the other four. Now imagine a low bar in two. Or, heaven forbid, three.

May it be worth defending

May you have things worth being motivated about and may you have the motivation to peruse them.

And even if these things are difficult, may they be the right things for the right reasons. And may it be something important enough for you to defend.

What is your desired mental accomplishment level?

Improvement mindset is the DNA that runs through every great organization.

What is your desired mental accomplishment level?

Pick the level number you desire for your mental vibrancy, using a 5k runner analogy:

  1. Olympic Gold
  2. Olympic podium
  3. Olympic finals
  4. Olympic Team USA, qualify
  5. Olympic Trials, qualify
  6. Nationals Gold
  7. Nationals podium
  8. Nationals finals
  9. Nationals, qualify
  10. College Varsity Team

Can make this list more nuanced, and definitely add more layers. But want to stop at 10 general layers.

Note the obvious difference in common sense effort, dedication, and motivation required to jump from one level up to the next.

And the jump from level 10 to level one is exponential.

Contagious enthusiasm

Everyone knows you gotta do the reps if you want to achieve something that requires effort, change, risk, and eventually, a new and exponentially better personal reality.

Do the reps.

Contagious enthusiasm.

Do you have it?

Congratulations.

You’ve made a wise investment.

Guessing your motivation to have contagious enthusiasm stems from knowing what your life would be like without it.

Note: all five posts today are exactly the same – do the reps. The exception “to exactly the same” is that there are five big choices in life – mind, body, spirit, work, home. As you read today’s five posts that sound “exactly” the same, understand all five themes need individual focus and discipline. All five personal vibrancy bars set to the highest level.
