What drives our limitations?

fear
Fear is a habit. Our limits are a habit because of this.

Thoughts.

Decisions.

Actions.

The only limits we have are those we impose upon ourselves.

Our biggest opportunity is here…

Texting message
Yesterday on the way to Lowes. Texting. Habits.

You know how we have a daily routine?

Many of the things we do are positive habits.

Showering, brushing our teeth, getting dressed, showing up for work on time.

Our biggest opportunity is here…

Admitting our poor habits.

Which is painful, so we pretend we don’t have them. Why? Because many of them bring us pleasure, save us time, and entertain or distract us from stress and pressure.

Poor habits are part of our daily routine.

They diminish and poison our good habits.

And we let this happen.

Let that resonate for a moment.

For a lifetime.

What would happen to us if we didn’t?

Sleep is the new coffee

Cinderella Castle clock
Time waits for no one.

The only time i hit the snooze button is when i’m exhausted.

But coffee can fix that, right?

What if the only reason coffee serves us is because we are tired and unmotivated?

What if we got eight hours sleep every night?

What if we had a clear, concise, and compelling purpose?

What usefulness would coffee have that sleep and purpose couldn’t provide more strongly?

Arriving home late is not worth it

Airport departure sign
Note time in upper right corner. Third flight from top is ours.

An alarm chiming at 3:30am in Montana is the price paid for a decent arrival time in Orlando. The 20-minute drive to Kalispel airport and an easy rental car return process made it undemanding to arrive early for a 6:15am wheels up.

.

PS. Note to self for posterity: 08.06 Saturday fly home 730am

The older you become the more challenging it is to do new things. The antidote, it seems to me, is to substitute quality for quantity.

Note to self for posterity: 08.03 Wednesday…8am drive to Canada/Waterton Park. Chief Mountain. Prince of Wales Hotel. Lunch in Waterton. Saw a bear at Prince of Wales driveway. Dinner at Two Dog Flats. Drove to Two Dog Flats to look for bear. Saw one at 8pm. Good pics.
