Photos breathe life

In Montreal to deliver a Disney Customer Service Keynote Speech, 2015.

Photos breathe life into almost everything, including blog posts.

This is why i always use them.

Now into the 14th consecutive year writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts, the first few years where just text. No photos.

Why?

Probably didn’t know how to add photos. Or maybe the process was cumbersome. Don’t recall exactly.

Can remember vividly when the WordPress operating system made it easier, i began using photos and have never deviated.

Why?

Because photos help tell a story or make a point better than words, generally.

Don’t be effort-less

Lake McDonald recreation
Glacier National Park (GNK). Lake McDonald, Sprauge fire 2017. Paddle-boarder and kayaker.
Disney Customer Service Speakers
Glacier National Park, (GNP). Disney Characters brought from Orlando. Simply to make others smile as they walked by. Photo from outside my Apgar Village Inn room.
Disney Leadership Speakers
Glacier National Park (GNP). Sprauge fire September 2017. From inside my Apgar Village Inn room.

Effort drives success more than talent. That’s how i represented, at age 50, the USA in the 2009 Masters Track and Field World Championships in Finland. It’s how i published a book in 2013. It’s why i am currently (2020) the unofficial world record holder for most blog posts by a single author (record is 17,212 posts, i’m closing in on 21,000).

Endeavors require effort and long-term commitment

clock
Time is the great equalizer. We all get 24 hours each day.
The unfair thing is we don’t all get the same number of days.

Endeavors require effort and long-term commitment.

If you are willing to pay the price (whatever that means to you), you have a chance at succeeding in your endeavor.

Without a willingness to endeavor you are lost.

Without a willingness to pay the price, you are lost.

And like yesterday’s posts revealed, without a willingness to learn who you can become, you are lost.

What do you want?

Weather app for orlando
Great weather for December. Want great weather, relocate.

blood pressure wrist monitor
Good metric for a 58-year-old with a desk job. Want great health metrics, exercise, nutrition and rest, etc.

hidden Mickey
A workplace that knows how to have fun (Hidden Mickey in bank building lobby). Want to work for a great company, take a risk and start at the bottom.

What do you want?

Do you know?

Have you asked for permission to get it?

Waiting and doing nothing are twin siblings of self-destruction.

Disagreeing with or hating the truth doesn’t change it.

Wishing you the best.

You deserve it.
