How did you measure the difference?

Was the difference an extra mile or inch?

Wow!

Harsh Reality

Three dinners.

No celebration, no milestone, no promotion, no holiday. It’s simply been a long day/week/month/year and you don’t feel like cooking. So you go to a nice, but def not fancy, place. Outback, Chilis, etc.

One’s amazing. One’s awful. One goes just the way you thought it would go.

Day One

9:00 AM.

Monday.

Disney University.

A classroom with 50 people, including two instructors.

Everyone is brand new, first day at Disney, except the instructors. A full-day class called Disney Traditions. Every brand new Disney employee (Cast Member) attends this on Day One, no exceptions.

It’s January 25…1982.

By the end of the day everyone, including me, was crystal clear about our top three priorities, in priority order.

  1. Make people happy
  2. Pick up trash.
  3. Do the job you were hired to do.

Art’s paradox

This song (see artist and title at top of photo), while sitting on our patio, inspired this post and the video below…
49-second video: Thank you Joni, for the impromptu inspiration.

The paradox of Art is that art is a circus.

It’s a freak show.

You go to the freak show to see the thing no one’s seen before.

Freakish attracts human attention.

Humans are curious.

Freakish is exciting.

Art?

Totally.

Who knew?
