Baby Boomer truth or dare…

Remembering Walt, my favorite Walt Disney book
Boomers watched Walt Disney original broadcasts, not reruns

If we are not willing to learn, no one can help us.

If we are determined to learn, no one can stop us.

Live without excuses.

We are smart enough now, as Boomers, to completely get this.

Walt Disney has inspired countless Boomers (including me) to keep learning.

But this can’t be something reserved for Fantasyland.

Total freak-o-nomics. MLC is like the Grateful Dead (they played and distributed music opposite every industry standard) of blogging:

  • five daily, differently-themed blogs
  • everyday, for four consecutive years
  • no “how to’s”, only (lovingly) antagonistic prodding
  • blogging in real time, but ahead (if that makes sense)

As I write this… nine days from Christmas, four days since Sandy Hook.
As you read this… five days from April Fools day 2013.

This started as a 100-day challenge to leave a trail for our young son, about Life’s (5) Big Choices, in case something bad ever happened to me…

Dear Readers, Awaken Your AgePotential is a must read

Dear Readers, Awaken Your AgePotential is a must read. Finished Lori Campbell’s ground-breaking book on the flight home from New Orleans. You will not recall the last time I shared a “must read” book.

Why? Because there are very few books that say something new or different. Lori says it differently. Baby Boomers either thrive or merely survive… Lori Campbell, Gerontologist, articulates proof it’s a choice, not a sentence.

Flying the friendly skies as time passes by

faith, hope, and love?
faith, hope, and love?

Thanks for the first class upgrade Delta. Harrisburg, Pennsylvania by 4pm. So what, right? Exactly.

The days go by, one after the other. So do the years. And that’s if we’re lucky.

A class mate, Jim Silcox, never saw our 1977 High School graduation.

Another classmate, Mitch Stambaugh, his son went away, to protect our Country’s freedom… and paid the ultimate price two months ago. Cameron will never see his Dad again, nor Mitch his son.

Today’s story continues here at Taking the next two days off, on purpose.
