Back to back weeks

Turning Red Pixar ad
Just watched Turning Red. Pixar’s storytelling continues to excel.

Back to back weeks.

What?

Back to back week-long experiments:

  1. One week with only photos
  2. One week with no photos

It will be fun and interesting to see how i like it when it goes live.

Note: Odds are decent it will happen again before these two week-long experiments publish. This means any decision to continue either experiment will be a blind, gut feeling, not a visual and verifiable experience.

No picture creates pressure

No picture creates pressure to create interest and or enjoyment using only words.

Why would anyone read something that doesn’t have a visual magnet?

Much like the first routine things you do every morning, no one has any interest. But offer a photo or two and it’s a different ballgame.

Diggin’ day four of this photo-less blogging experiment.

Lean into discomfort

clothes for a suitcase
Will never again wear a business suit for a speech. Jeans, untucked shirt, possibly a jacket, and undoubtedly, running shoes.

Lean into discomfort means trying things that may not work.

Before you try something you have to think it up.

Lean into uncomfortable thoughts.

Particularly thoughts that come with no guarantee of working.

Thoughts that might get you laughed at, or ostracized.

Life is a mental gamble

Life is a gamble.

Dear attitude,

Praying that as you read this today, you know that i now know things that should break my spirit and my motivation.

And just like the Ukrainian people, knowing these things crystal clearly now, actually does the opposite of breaking a person’s spirit.

The “risk” factor

Simple keynote slide with a few letters
Risk is easier if you have a compass and a true North.

We understand the “it” factor.

Do we understand the “risk” factor?

People with “it”, know the only way to have “it” is to embrace the “risk”…

Trying things that might not work is standard operating procedure for personal vibrancy.
