This blog is about our mind.
Thoughts, attitude, outlook and perspective.
Our environment, our friends, the media we consume, even the words we use contribute to our attitude.
Think, consume, and surround yourself with good and decent things and people.
There have always been a few guiding desires for the creation of Mid Life Celebration…
We all have several diseases that have touched us in a way that we ‘d like to see these diseases irradiated.
Which disease tops your list?
Crohn’s disease is at the top here.
Hate Alzheimer’s disease too.
No expectation for any of us to view the video. Yet it’s always exciting to hear there are folks who are optimistic they can slay it.
You know the feeling.
Sooner or later it becomes crystal clear. Life is not a dress rehearsal.
There can be no happiness if the things we believe in are different from the things we do.

Midlife crisis is spending our life chasing our dreams and finally getting there, more or less.
But in looking around, we think, “This isn’t what I wanted!”
Deep breath. Exhale… Remember all those things we promised ourselves when we were younger?
We should do them. But when?
Our biggest midlife challenge isn’t desire.
Finding time to… Pause.
Time to simply breath in and, maybe, actually, to take back…
Take back a little time to do something for ourselves that’s long overdue.
To… well… quite literally…
rethink • reprioritize • recommit
To re-shuffle our deck so to speak.
What is this notion of a for profit non-profit?
Preparing to establish Mid Life Celebration, LLC in 2008, retaining an accountant was a top recommendation from other established small business entrepreneurial friends.
My vision was to create something that would raise a lot money and then give it to the folks dedicated to finding a cure for Crohn’s disease.
Calling the accountant, an unusual discovery – he didn’t do non-profits.
Immediately (must be deep Disney creativity) the notion of a for profit non-profit entered my consciousness.
The 10-year plan included five years to create the platform, become a brand, and most importantly, make money.
Four point nine years have passed.
Can I do it within five?
Insight: Dreams come true when we are flexible, creative, and determined to only accept success.
I write five daily, differently-themed blogs. Every post ends with a link to easily click to the next (theme) blog.
The themes are mind – body – spirit – work – home.
The posts are mostly short and pithy.
