Radical self-care

Mickey Mouse always looks like ’Day One’. Nice photo bomb too.

Never get bored with the basics.

Like brushing and flossing.

Like saying please and thank you.

Like being present, mindful, and motivated.

Like taking radical care of yourself.

Radical self-care revolves around life’s five big choices:

  1. mind – we think
  2. body – we move
  3. spirit – we feel
  4. work – we contribute
  5. home – we dwell

Over-focus on the same things we used to under-focus on or ignore.

OQP Mental

For my podcast, If Disney Ran Your Life, picked the category business with the subcategory Entrepreneurship.

OQP mental.

What?

Only Quality People, mentally.

High quality mental attitudes breath life, love, humility, optimism, and joy on you, around you and into you.

Low quality mental attitudes obviously can’t compete. Poison does not breath life.

HT (hat tip): Les Brown for OQP.

Moment

A moment in time in Apgar Village on Glacier’s West side. The 12 Park cameras snap a photo every six minutes but you don’t know exactly when, so you have to manipulate the moment in order to capture it.

Here’s a train of thought for the new decade that begins in three days:

  • Moment
  • Hour
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Quarter
  • Year
  • Decade
  • Life

If Disney Ran Your Life, you would learn to instinctively over-focus on the same things you used to under-focus on or ignore.

You learn to be intentional where you used to be unintentional.

The power that a decision we make in a moment has the power to grow and influence by the hour.

Two questions i ask to get better at anything

Disney Keynote Speakers
Published yesterday, Christmas Day, The First Noel.

Do you know the two secrets to long-term transformation?

If you want to get better at something ask yourself two questions.

1. How will my life change in 10 years if I succeed?

2. Why do I want to get better at this?

What you gain is vision and motivation.

Simply put, if you know where you are going and it’s life-changingly (made up that word) important to you, can you guess what’s gonna happen?

Also simple: if you don’t know where you are going, nor are you motivated to figure it out, nor motivated to get there…it makes the previous question’s answer ridiculously obvious.

Change is good

On December 7, WordPress released update 4.7 – “Vaughan“. Added the new default theme to all 5 blogs, but everything else is unchanged. Enjoy.
