Balance is not a myth

Recording If Disney Ran Your Life yesterday at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

Balance is not a myth.

Living like it is a myth – think about how low we set our bar for accomplishing personal vibrancy.

Scary.

But since “everyone’s doing it”, it can’t be that bad, right?

Simplest recipe for life

Yesterday at Disney’s Grand Floridian and Spa, recording a podcast.

Simplest recipe for life.

  • Something to do
  • Something to hope for
  • Someone to love

Simple doesn’t mean easy, but it does mean simple.

If Disney Ran Your Life official recording day

Today is May 20, 2019. All four Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks are available to us.

If Disney Ran Your Life official recording day is today.

Jody Maberry, from Seattle, is in town again.

The last time Jody and i were together to record was 23 days ago in Kuwait.

The photo above shows green thumbs up for all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks today.

Jody will be here at 10AM.

Hired a photographer/videographer for the day. He does creative work and we have a great working relationship – i trust him to focus on creative, excellent, and different.

As we age, one goal becomes clearer

High School senior banquet last night.

The first time attending a high school senior banquet.

A once-in-a-lifetime passage for some.

As we age, one goal becomes clearer…

The goal is not to eliminate struggle, but to have the mental capacity to weather every struggle; and to seek assistance when we are stuck.

One of our biggest challenges is to struggle with things we can’t control.

This challenging struggle exists because we either doubt we can influence or we fear we can’t influence.

We get better at discerning controllable and not controllable as we age, because aging inherently suggests we’ve experienced more.

More experience generally equals more wisdom.

Of course there are exceptions.

More wisdom generally means an improved batting average.

Crisis or celebration?

Last night.
Busy doing nothing.

You are in charge of your choices.

Dispute this if you must.

If you do, who then decides for you if it isn’t you who is in charge of your choices?

So yes, we are in charge of the thought-choices, and action-choices, we make.

You may feel you have no choice but to live and work where you live and work, yet you will never convince me that you aren’t in charge of the choices you make about your thoughts.

The thoughts you pick pick you.

Crisis or celebration?

Where you are now and where you want to be may be different.

That’s okay.

Life is a journey and if privileged, you get to age and if you get to age, that means you have time to hone your beliefs, crystallize your values, and have your behaviors align with your values and beliefs.
