Do the math at graduation

We hung this banner yesterday. Will our home ever have need for another one in our lifetime?

Do the math at graduation.

The only other time we could think about doing this again is if we see a grandchild graduate.

Two grandparents spent the afternoon at our home yesterday. Renato’s grandmother and Connor’s grandmother.

Must be a cool feeling to live long enough to see your child(ren) experience the same significant parental milestones as you.

Remember when you graduated from High School?

At five years old in this photo, he had already had three colonoscopies.

Dear adult who’s been out of school for years, remember when you graduated from High School?

What you were dreaming about then, how similar or how different is your life now?

There’s a time and a place

High School graduation
The privilege of having the High School graduation here is not lost on me.
Walt Disney Theater, last night.

There’s a time and a place for everything.

Last night the time and place was 7:00 PM, at the Walt Disney Theater inside the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center in downtown Orlando.

Congratulations WPS class of 2019.

In hindsight

Jody Maberry and jeff noel
The Disney Point at Mickey’s Retreat a couple days ago.

In hindsight, we (especially me) learned a lot.

Most importantly, i need to be even more prepared. And by more prepared, this means having (at a minimum) the essentials nailed down:

Obviously, the topic, why’s it’s important, a Disney story, how this applies to real life, and a 72-hour challenge.

The basics.

Resilience

Yesterday. In the backyard.

Resilience.

Nature has seen it all, except perhaps a human population that grows by one-billion every 13 years.

From Google:

Exponential growth of world population. It took 127 years for the world population to double from one billion to two. By contrast, it took only 47 years, from 1927 to 1974, to double from two billion to four. Since 1960, world population has grown by about one billion every 13 years.

Mother Earth has adapted and evolved over 4.5 billion years. She serves as a benchmark for our own existence. Adapt and overcome.
